Green Pepper Sabji Recipe

This is on of the simple and easy recipe to make with the basic ingredients that will be available at home.

Method of Preparation


  • 4 green peppers (diced)
  • 4 small green chilies
  • 4 tsp. roasted channa dal (powdered)
  • 2 1/2 tsp. sesame seeds (powdered)
  • 5 tsp. grated copra
  • tamarind to taste
  • 1 tsp. powdered jaggery

Preparation Methods:

  1. Heat 4 tsp. of oil in a pan. Add green chilies and green peppers.
  2. Fry the green peppers on medium heat until they are almost cooked.
  3. Add tamarind and salt to taste.
  4. Continue cooking till the green peppers are fully cooked.
  5. Add powdered Channa dal, powdered sesame seeds, jaggery and copra.

To Serve:

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chapatis or roti.
