Reliance overseas travel insurance extension/renewal while outside India

Follow below steps to Renew Reliance Travel and Student Medical Insurance

  1. Click on the Reliance declaration form and Reliance extension form to download the pdf document to your desktop.
  2. Fill the form and sign the document.
  3. Email the filled form along with existing policy copy to insurance@nriol.com

Once the renewal request is received it will followed up for getting approval which may take 1-2 working days and the policy holder will be updated on the approval / rejection about the same.

What is pre-existing conditions?

"Pre-Existing Condition" means chronic diseases or illnesses or ailments and consequences of such diseases or illnesses or ailments existing or known to exist at the commencement of the period of insurance, even if the same had not been treated, including diseases or illnesses treated or for which medical advice was sought in the last six months before commencement of the period of insurance and including their consequences.

This policy covers pre-existing condition or any complication arising from it only in case of Life saving unforeseen emergency situations. Lifesaving unforeseen emergency measures, provided to the Insured/Insured Person by the Physician for disease /illness /injury arising out of a pre-existing condition.

The treatment for these emergency measures would be paid till the Insured/Insured Person becomes medically stable. All further medical cost to maintain medically stable state would have borne by the Insured/ Insured Person.

Some of the preexisting diseases which are not covered by Reliance travel insurance plan are Cancer / Leukemia / Malignant Tumor, Cardiac ailments, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), HIV /AIDS, Kidney Ailment, Liver Disease, Neurological Disorder / Stroke / Paralysis, Thalasemia, Insulin Dependent Diabetes.

Reliance travel insurance covers declared non critical pre-existing conditions under life threatening for travelers up to 70 years as per policy terms and conditions. Travelers above 70 years are not covered for pre-existing diseases.
