TATA AIG student travel insurance coverage for Covid 19

The TATA AIG Student Travel Guard travel insurance offered by Tata AIG General Insurance Company Ltd offers coverage for medical expenses related to COVID-19. Coronavirus related coverage for every insured is available up to the limits mentioned in the Policy Schedule for expenses incurred due to sudden and unexpected Sickness or Accident arising when insured is outside the Republic of India. Coverage in the policy is subject to policy terms & conditions.

• COVID related expensed are covered up to the Sum Insured according to the plan chosen less any deductible.
• Covid expenses are covered for plans both with and without Sub Limits up to the eligible policy maximum.

The number of countries that insist on travel medical insurance upon arrival had been increasing over the years even before the COVID pandemic, however this list of countries is now growing rapidly. Several instances of unpaid medical bills by foreigners have caused huge losses to hospitals.
