Glass Painting Traditions of India is one of the most refined art forms, which emerged in the state of Gujarat in the beginning of the 18th century. Chinese artists who had settled in the region influenced the local traditions of producing glass paintings. Glass paintings, comprised of engraving laid down on the back of the glass and were painted from the reverse.
