Travelers who are US Residents living in the US are eligible to purchase the Trip Protection plans. They can choose to buy these plans for traveling within the US as well as overseas /internationally outside the US.
Generally all plans would cover specific covered reasons like Sickness, Injury or Death, Felonious Assault, Court Ordered Appearance, Military Duty for Natural Disaster Relief, Jury Duty, Termination/Layoff, Strike, Weather, Hijacking, Terrorist Incident, Traffic Accident, Bankruptcy/Default, Quarantine and Residence Uninhabitable. However travelers should check the policy documents carefully before buying the policy.
Trip cancellation is a benefit that is available when the trip is canceled before the journey begins or the start date of the insurance policy. Trip interruption is a benefit that begins after the journey begins.
