  • For visitors under 65 years of age and visiting USA, their initial period of coverage must be within 6 months of arrival in the United States. For visitors over 65 years of age it must begin within 30 days of arrival. These requirements are waived if proof of previous valid international travel insurance is provided.
  • US citizens living outside USA who want to visit US. They must have resided outside US continuously for the past 6 months and must have a current health plan in force.
  • Patriot Platinum America Insurance Eligibility:
    Green Card Holders in the US are eligible as long as their primary residence is outside the US. There is no set amount of time on arrival in the US before which this plan has to be purchased.

  • Patriot Platinum insurance can be extended for a minimum of 5 days up to a 12 months period, until reaching a maximum of 36 continuous months.
  • Prior to the end of each period of coverage purchased, you will receive renewal information.

  • Each insured person must only satisfy one deductible and coinsurance within each 12 month period of coverage.

Patriot America insurance does not provide covid coverage, however Patriot Platinum Plus covid insurance coverage is available for plans purchased after September 1st, 2020. IMG Patriot America Plus insurance Coronavirus coverage includes eligible medical expenses resulting from COVID-19 up to the medical maximum.

Yes Patriot Platinum insurance can be bought after the arrival in the US within the following constraints. It must be bought within 30 days for travelers above 65 years. Travelers below the age of 65 years can buy the Patriot Platinum insurance within a 6 month time period after arriving in the US.

International Medical Group (IMG) offers the Patriot Platinum Plus insurance plan which has good coverage for acute onset of pre-existing conditions up to the age of 70 years.

Patriot Platinum Policy can be cancelled by submitting a written request to However if you have filed claims, your premium is non-refundable.
