How much money, in US dollars, should I carry with me to tide me over till I draw my first month’s pay cheque?
On an average a new immigrant can take 500$ for the trip. Another 500$ as an advance from the employer should cover most expenses till their first pay. The advance however depends on the firm's policy and varies.
