Roadways Sikkim Nationalised Transport (SNT) is the public bus transport service of Sikkim. This bus service connects Gangtok, which is the capital city of Sikkim, to Kalimpong, Siliguri and Darjeeling. It also connects different district headquarters and sub-divisions of the state.
Sikkim does not have an airport, and thus have to depend on Bagdogra International Airport of West Bengal for air connectivity. There is one under construction in Pakyong which is 30kms from Gangtok. The nearest airport is in Bagdogra which is approximately 124 km from Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim.
Sikkim does not have a proper train network also. The nearest major railway station isNew Jalpaiguri (NJP) which is about 125 kms from Siliguri and 120 km from Gangtok and that are well-connected to major cities like Kolkata, Guwahati, Delhi and Mumbai.
